Who we are
This website is operated by Jyothi Animal Welfare, a society registered under the Telangana Societies Registration Act, 2001 (Registration No. 13 of 2021), of 15-17-406/A, Vijaya Nagar Colony, Utyara Dwaraka Nagar, Khammam (Urban), Khammam – 507002, Telangana, India. It operates publicly as Anna Shelters.
What we collect
This site has no accounts, no login, and no advertising or tracking pixels. The contact forms on this website open your own email application — they do not submit data to us over the internet, and nothing you type into them is stored on this website.
If you email, call or WhatsApp us, we keep what you send for as long as we need it to help you — a rescue report, a volunteer enquiry, a donation acknowledgement. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone outside the society, except where we are legally required to.
Things loaded from other services
Some pages load content from third parties, each of which has its own privacy policy:
- YouTube — video players load only after you click play, and we use the privacy-enhanced
youtube-nocookie.comdomain. - Google Fonts — typefaces are loaded from Google's font service.
- Google Maps — the map on the contact page.
Your web host may also keep standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security purposes.
Donations
Donations are made directly to our bank through UPI or a bank transfer. We never see, store or process your card, PIN or banking credentials. We will never ask you for an OTP, a PIN, remote access to your device, or a payment to any UPI ID other than 7386230139@sbi. If someone claiming to represent us asks for any of those things, it is not us — please tell us immediately.
We are not registered under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 and cannot accept donations from foreign sources. We do not currently hold approval under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act (now Section 354 of the Income Tax Act, 2025), and donations to us are therefore not eligible for a tax deduction. Children
We run awareness sessions in schools. We photograph or film children only with the permission of the school and, where required, of parents or guardians — and we do not publish identifying images of children on this website.
Accuracy of information on this site
The legal information on this website, particularly on The Law, is a public-information summary prepared in good faith with sources cited. It is not legal advice and the law in this area is actively changing — the Supreme Court's stray dog matter remains listed for compliance on 17 November 2026, and High Courts across India are monitoring implementation. Please check the primary sources we link to before relying on anything here.
Cost figures given on the donate page are indicative of what we actually pay in Khammam and will change over time.
